Absolutely a first class service from a very nice lady. Had a problem with my toenail, Nicola came around and went through everything with me and the treatment was first class. I now have the nicest feeling feet ever. I will recommend you to everyone.
- Steve
I approached Nicola to help with an ingrowing toenail problem. She helped me understand the issues and was able to manage the problem. I appreciated her professionalism and general experience with her nursing background. She was also kind and respectful when I said I was nervous about someone touching my feet. Highly recommend.

FAQs
What is a Foot Health Practitioner (FHP) ?
A foot health practitioner has undertaken a diploma in foot health care and can treat common foot problems such as thickened nails, ingrown toenails, corns, callus, verrucae and fungal nail infection etc. They are not HCPC registered but may be members of a register, many of which require them to undertake regular continuing professional development (CPD) .
What is the difference between a Chiropodist and a Podiatrist?
There is no difference between a chiropodist and a podiatrist, but podiatrist is a more modern name. Both are HCPC registered clinicians and have undertaken degree level studies. As HCPC registered clinicians they have to undertake regular CPD , and are able to deliver more complex and advanced treatments for common foot problems. For example, they can perform nail surgery for ingrown toenails under local anaesthetic, amongst other things.
Where do footcare visits take place?
Exeter residents are seen in their own homes, but starting in June 2024 they will have the option to be seen in a Friday clinic at Luxton’s pharmacy, 63 Cowick street. EX4 1HW. People from outside Exeter can only be seen in clinic. To book a clinic appointment online click here
